Presentation of the latest results of the Cosmic Ray research on board Polarquest2018
95 years ago today, May 7, Airship Norge, commanded by Umberto Nobile and led by Roald Amundsen, landed in Kings Bay, Svalbard, on its way to the conquest of the North Pole. To celebrate the event, we have accepted the invitation of the European University of Rome Geography Lab and the Italian Geographical Society, with a presentation of the results of the cosmic ray research on board Nanuq during Polarquest2018. The cosmic detector is now in Ny Alesund, Kings Bay, in the company of its two twins.
Luisa Cifarelli, the physicist at the origin of the project, and Paola Catapano, CERN communicator and Polarquest2018 project leader, will present the results and the expedition of 2018.
